Cuba 2015
April & May, 2015 – Cuba is beautiful, the people are so wonderful, the food is great, the music is great…. traveling around using the bus system was spectacular. I flew into Havana, Cuba from Cancun, rented a car to explore the western side of the island, then hopped on buses and traversed the entire island all the way to the eastern tip. For the most part, I stayed in “casas particulars’, or private rooms in Cubans’ homes. Many times, I ate in their homes or in ‘paladars’ (private dining rooms). I LOVED Cuba, and especially, the Cuban people and the music. (Click here to see all stories as a single thread) You can see a map and a description of destinations here… Route & itinerary.

Route & itinerary
I have defied three different dire prognoses of imminent death employing a combination of western medicine and naturopathic therapies. Sitting in my chemo chair, not sure if I could, or even wanted to, go on, dreams of travel got me through. I vowed to “Live until I die” and start this travel blog to inspire you to dream of life beyond the chemo chair. I have three books that you may be interested in. Part of my Thrive Tribe Series, Book 1, Whatever Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Strong, a memoir on surviving life and denying death, is available in print, ebook, and audiobook formats. Book 2, What I Did and Do and Why, a naturopathic protocol that helps me to survive and thrive, is available in print and ebook formats. Book 3, My Path as a Graceful Warrior, is a prompted journal for people going through heavy stuff (print only). Books start at $7 for you, my Thrive Tribe, at the bookstore on my website.
